Locum – Emergency Medicine – AL
A critical access hospital in Alabama is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for PRN locum coverage. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians who prefer an exceptionally low-volume setting and extended shifts.
Position Highlights
- 24-hour solo-coverage shifts beginning at 7:00 a.m.
- Approximately 6,000 annual visits—less than one patient per hour
- Eight or more shifts available each month
- No admitting responsibilities
- Shadow shift with the Medical Director
- Credentialing completed in less than 30 days
- Travel and lodging provided
Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with previous emergency medicine experience. Current ATLS, ACLS and PALS certifications are required. Physicians should be confident working independently in a small critical access hospital.
