Locum – Interventional Radiology – New York
A federal medical center in the Northeast is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Radiologists for a long-term locum opportunity. Multiple physicians are needed to support continuous onsite and on-call coverage.
Position Highlights
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- One physician onsite each weekday
- Evening, weekend and federal holiday call coverage
- Long-term federal contract with multiple option years
- Any active, unrestricted U.S. state medical license accepted
- Opportunity to care for our nation’s veterans
- Prior VA experience is preferred but not required
Candidates must be available by phone within 15 minutes while on call and able to return onsite within 45 minutes when needed.
Physicians should be experienced in a comprehensive range of IR procedures, including angiography, angioplasty and stenting, biopsies, embolization, dialysis-access interventions, drain placement, ablation, nephrostomy, gastrostomy, thrombolysis, TIPS, Y-90 radioembolization and related procedures.
Applicants must have a clean professional background, current ABR board certification or board eligibility, an active unrestricted medical license, current CME and Maintenance of Certification, and the ability to obtain federal credentialing and privileges. BLS and ACLS will be required before beginning the assignment.
A current CV and signed commitment letter are required for presentation.
